Bismillah Assalamu Alaikum
During
this holiday, Kaliurang became one of favorit destination for tourists,
both domestic or abroad. Kaliurang is located 24 km from Yogyakarta,
can be reached in 30 minutes using public transportation.
It’s about 2,000 tourists (most of them are domestic) came to enjoy the place. It’s more 3 times if we compare the number on daily visiting. Usually, it’s only 600 tourists came. So, with 2,000 tourists, it means Kaliurang tourism staffs must work quite hard to manage.
Many tourists had came to Kaliurang recently not only to enjoy the place, but also to take participate or just watch Grebeg Syawal, one of traditional event from Yogyakarta. This event was held after Great Eid (idul Adha).
